Nick’s grandfather, Charles White, agreed to let me my first ever premises on Buccleuch Street in 1964. He was firm but fair and gave me an opportunity in business aged 23, which I very much appreciated. 42 years later, history repeated itself when I bought premises in Edinburgh where Nick acted for the seller. I was pleased to see that Nick has inherited the same qualities as his Grandfather and was as professional and straightforward to deal with as he was.
