CuthbertWhite was instructed to complete a full market search and provide a report for the organisation’s board outlining suitable alternative office accommodation and associated costs involved with a relocation. We compared the options with the costs to remaining at Volunteer Glasgow’s current premises and assessed and understood the challenges facing the organisation regarding funding. With the added uncertainty of COVID-19 and a lack of cost-effective office opportunities, we negotiated a flexible lease extension with a view to finding a new office premises by the end of 2020. CuthbertWhite reviewed the Glasgow office market monthly and identified an off-market opportunity which ticked all the required boxes, then negotiated a lease on the company’s behalf to include flexible terms and refurbished premises. The new office provides Volunteer Glasgow with a ground floor presence in the heart of the Merchant City and they took occupation in December 2020.
